This map includes 31 of the most prominent Westerosi castles (including Castle Black, Kings Landing and Oldtown) -
represented by hand-burnt and hand-painted 20mm plywood circles; three-dementional WALL;
ten multi-layered mountain ridges; 15 manually burnt banners with major area names; carved rivers and... MAMMOTHS!
Map's overall size is 38cm x 72cm, it is varnished and has two back hangers. All plywood, scroll saw and Y3OP-1 woodburner!!!
The work on this project totally consumed three (!) months of my not-so-plentiful free time, but I consider it as a time well spent.
I consider this work being my most complicated but also my most challenging and satisfying project in resent time.
This is a map of the fabled continent of Westeros, from George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" fiction novel series.
I am an avid fan of the books and the matching HBO's TV show
(as you'd probably already seen from an ASOIAF section in my works gallery).
